In order to clear up a criminal case the coroner was going to autopsy right away.
Autopsy must be carefully dissected in order that it is injury corpse.
If you were injury corpse, you will lose the evidence.
(I don't know what a "corner" is, so I cannot see what you really mean. This is what I have a guess at.)
The criminal case was going to be solved only when autopsy worked. The body needed dissecting. It had to be done carefully done because the corpse is a bit damaged If you were to damage the body, you would lose the evidence.
